The designed goal of the “All-Purpose City Card” system is to build a small-amount consumption payment transaction based, settlement system centered
first-level platform, by interlinking the second-level settlement systems of multiple industries (i.e. Public transportation, Taxi, Gas stations, Parking
lots, water bill and electricity bill), to form a network information system, which allows citizens to pay fees of different services (i.e. bus and taxi)
with just one smart IC card (non-contact CPU card).
“Urban Public Bus Fee Collection Management System” consists of IC card management center, card distribution and recharge centers, data recovery centers,
Bus Charging Terminals (installed on each buses) and various kinds of IC cards. Passengers buy and recharge the IC cards at the card distribution and recharge
centers, which allows the passengers to pay the transportation fee with the IC card. When the credit in the IC card is insufficient, one can recharge his card
at the card distribution and recharge centers. Cards distribution and recharge centers and data recovery centers will upload the recharging data and fee
collection data to the IC card management center, all the data will be safely stored in the central server, and the data statistics and analysis will be carried out.
The following purposes can be achieved by using this system:
» Building a fully functional Urban Public Bus Fee Collection Management System which satisfies the urban public transportation requirement.
»Collecting public transportation data, accumulate the data for further financial and business management analysis.
»Upgrading the public IC card bus fee collection system to all-purpose city card system, and proving interface for the expansion of the bus company’s business management
system.
» Building a strong foundation for the informatization and electronization of the public transportation companies.
This system is able to different IC cards to people with different social status, such as ordinary card, adult card, student card, senior citizen (social care) card,
discount card and usage count card, detailing as follows:
»ordinary card, adult card: suitable for adults
»student card: suitable for full-time students
»senior citizen card, discount card: suitable for senior citizens and people with other social privileges
According to customers’ requirement, Welkin is able to provide “Public Transportation IC Card System” which can be used for urban public transportation management,
or “All-purpose Enterprise Card System” which can be used for access control and attendance management in large corporate group, SMEs, factories and high - grade
residential areas.
